Taran Clark
Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care
13 Years Early Childhood experience.

Hi, I’m Taran, the Director of Wyee Child Care Centre. I have had the absolute pleasure of building my career in Early Childhood Education at Wyee Child Care Centre for the past 13 years.
I was offered to complete work placement at Wyee Child Care Centre when I was just 17 years old. It was one day a week over the course of a year. I soon learnt that I was a natural and it became something that I was extremely passionate about.
As soon as I turned 18, I was offered a casual position at the centre.
Fast forward a few years, and I enrolled straight into my Diploma of Early Childhood. I completed my Certificate 111 units of the course and decided I needed a break from studying.
During this time, I became a regular at the centre. Working my way up the ladder.
I then quickly discovered my passion for the documentation and implementation of children’s learning and development.
In 2020 I became the centre's Educational Leader; I was in the role for 2 years before I decided I needed some time off.
2 months later, I came back refreshed and was re-offered the role. With the support of the director, she encouraged me to enrol to complete my Diploma of Early Childhood Education. I was able to complete this in 6 months and in December 2022 I was fully qualified! Completing this allowed me to develop my knowledge and skills further.
When our director decided it was her time to move on, the owner of our centre offered me the role of Nominated Supervisor and Director and I very excitedly accepted.
I feel very passionate about child development and documentation, and I believe that all children should be seen as an individual, be respected and have equal opportunities regardless of their age, gender, ability and background. I ensure that I surround myself with a team with the same values, passion and drive.
I have an open-door policy within the service, so feel free to visit or call me with any questions or queries.
I look forward to meeting many new families within the community and seeing many previous families.
